The purpose of the Mental Health & Wellbeing (MH&W) Committee is to monitor and address the mental health and wellbeing needs of graduate students, professional students, and postdoctoral scholars at the University of Kentucky. This committee works with other committees in the GSC and organizations around campus (e.g., UK Counseling Center) to find information, create events, and develop programming related to graduate and professional students' and postdocs' mental health and wellbeing needs. The MH&W Committee also oversees the planning and execution of Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) in October.

My research focuses on adolescents` mental health and psychopathology, especially in culturally diverse groups. I am passionate about bridging research and practice to inform policies that support diverse families and youth.
