Edward Olajide is a veterinarian with special interest in the Equine species. Edward received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is currently working toward a doctoral degree in Equine Infectious Diseases focusing on Equine Herpesvirus. He has interests in Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Animal Welfare, and One Health. Outside academia, Edward loves traveling, community outreach, and playing soccer.

Institutional Affairs Officer: Megan Hall

Megan E. Hall is a PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Sociology. Prior to coming to UK, she earned bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Plant Biology from North Carolina State University (2020) and a master’s degree in Appalachian Studies from Appalachian State University (2023). In her doctoral work, she is developing a theory of interlocking disasters to help understand how communities respond to repeated instances of catastrophe. Megan was born and raised in Candler, NC, and is a first-generation college student from a working-class family. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, thrifting, and spending time with loved ones.

Adrianne Caudill is a 3rd year PhD student in the Statistics department. Adrianne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Statistics from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science degree in Statistics from University of Kentucky. Outside of school, Adrianne enjoys gardening, reading, and baking.

Student Government Association (SGA) Representative: Riccardo D'Amato

Riccardo Paolo D'Amato is a PhD candidate in the Department of History. His research focuses on the intertwining of environmental and political histories, tracking the 20th century developments of water infrastructure and water pollution within Appalachian Kentucky. Outside academia, Paolo enjoys staying active with nature. He enjoys swimming, hiking, soccer, and generally being outdoors. He also volunteers his time with groups working for the betterment of the human and more-than-human communities within the region he loves, such as Kentucky Riverkeeper and LiKEN.
