The purpose of the Awards Committee is to coordinate the Awards Funding program offered by the GSC. Information concerning these awards, including number, amount, submission process, and selection criteria, are determined by this Committee, but must be approved by the entire GSC Congressional Body.
Victor Ugwuegbu is a second year PhD student in Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Kentucky. He holds a B.Agric in Soil Science from the University of Uyo in Nigeria and an Erasmus Mundus master’s degree in Soils and Global Change from Ghent University in Belgium and Aarhus University in Denmark. Victor’s research focuses on using spectroscopy and machine learning to improve the prediction of plant available soil nutrients and support sustainable nutrient management for farmers. Outside of work, Victor enjoys traveling, playing soccer, and spending time with family and friends.
